The High Kingdom Of Nometra ("No-mee-tra") was formed by the leader, Cloelius I, in the 172 First Era. The High Kingdom Of Nometra was comprised of many tribal states formed to defend their autonomy against the Osmax. Although the Nometrians shared the same culture and language as the Osmax, they had heard of the wars such as Wall Of Spears waged by the crazed Kings Of The Osmax. Roughly around the year 200 First Era, Nometra stared to send colonists across the seas to get as far from the growing Osmax as possible. Striking the lands of Valmor, Nometra Minora formed. Later in 230 First Era, years after the Osmax-Nometra War had ended, the High Kingdom relocated to Nometra Minora after being annihilated from the Kingdom Of Osmax's suprise attack. The Nometrians were thought eradicated for years until their presence was revealed. The Nometrians swore to return to their homeland where they had lived peacefully for a millenia.
History
Before the establishment of the High Kingdom of Nometra, the region was divided into many prominent clans and minor clans that often warred with each other. The Ardic Clan managed to become the dominant powerhouse in the region in 154 First Era, which played a vital role in convincing the other clans to come and meet in Nometra for the Nometra meeting.
Establishment
The establishment of the High Kingdom of Nometra was after the Nometra meeting, where various large clans came together thanks to the efforts of Cloelius I of the Ardic Clan. All clans that attended the Nometra meeting swore fealty to the Ardic Clan in exchange for high autonomy and the creation of the Assembly of Clans, with each head of a clan getting a hereditary title in the High Kingdom of Nometra. Cloelius I named the Kingdom Nometra after the city in which the meeting took place.
Cloelius I
Cloelius Cyrillus became the first High King of Nometra, commonly referred to as Cloelius I during his reign. To represent his authority, he commissioned the Sapphire Crown and Sword of Nometra. Cloelius I's first plan as the High King was to convince the Assembly of Clans to expand Nometra even further, which was successful thanks to his high charisma and promised rewards to Clan assembly members. In the wars collectively known as Cloelius's Wars of Aggression, Nometra successfully expanded Nometra's borders to the north and east. After Cloelius's Wars of Aggression, Cloelius I created the positions of Clans Speaker and First Captain to better control the newly acquired territory and the decentralized nature of the Nometran Army. Cloelius I spent the rest of his reign integrating and administrating the High Kingdom until his death in 187. Cloelius I is remembered as a great leader and incredible founder, revered by all Nometrians.
Cloelius II
Cloelius II took the role of High King in 187 and was the first to dawn the Sapphire Crown alongside the Sword of Nometra. Cloelius II was alarmed by the expansion of the Kingdom Of Osmax, as were many similar states in the region. In respone, Cloelius II knew that he would need weapons if they were to war. He build multiple blacksmiths and foundries in and around Nometra through the 190's. Unlike his father, Cloelius I, Cloelius II was a lot more peaceful and built his Kingdom to become bigger and better. Although the decentralization in the Kingdom halted a lot of progress, and gave the King very limited funds, Cloelius II was able to do much more with what he had been given. Sometime in May of 200 First Era, Cloelius II died from an unknown aliment. His son, the popular Loelius I took the throne.
Loelius I
Loelius I took the role of High King in 200 First Era after his father died from a long unknown disease. Loelius, although a popular decision to ascend the throne by the Assembly Of Clans, did not live up to his fore bearers. Ridden with a crazed madness, the Kingdom fell into despair as the King neglected many of the Clans. Siding with only the strongest ones, the morale in the Kingdom collapsed with his bias. Paranoid of being assassinated, the King used nearly his entire treasury during his reign for his own personal body guard regiment, known as the Nomea Trajin. Loelius I was not a strong leader, and proved it when a deadly outbreak of a disease threatened another clan. Instead of sending food or supplies, Loelius quarantined the city killing anybody who exited. Once the disease was over, Loelius I could not care less for the townspeople, sending no aid of any type. In 215, a month after the quarantine had been lifted, he was killed by those very villagers he had despaired. His death was celebrated throughout the Kingdom. Instead of choosing his firstborn, Harmonius Cyrillus, who Loelius I had deemed the successor, the Assembly Of Clans chose his brother, Malius I. 215)
Malius I
Malius I took the throne very unexpectedly in 215 First Era after his crazed father destroyed the trust and community of the Assembly Of Clans. Only 22 years old, Malius I proved to be a strong courageous leader. Not the brightest, nor the most cunning, his quick thinking abilities proved to outweigh his cons. Malius I was not lucky, however, and in 216 First Era the Kingdom became under attack by the Kingdom Of Osmax, their greatest rival.
Osmax-Nometra War
During the start of Osmax-Nometra War, the High Kingdom had an advantage. The disorganized and autonomous nature of the High Kingdom Armies gave the Osmax trouble as they were everywhere at the same time, however, the lack of coordination, cooperation, and objectives led to the armies dealing insufficient damage to the Osmax. This gave the Osmax the chance to destroy their armies one by one, which they did. Eventually, the Osmax reached Nometra, and razed it. The Kingdom surrendered, conceding several border territories and states to Osmax which ended the 3 years war. The High Kingdom was devastated, weakening it politically and economically while Osmax were only affected in it border regions.
In 220 First Era, the Assembly Of Clans demanded more representation. In order to keep the Kingdom together, Malius I accepted the demands, weakening the Kings position in the Assembly. Although this benefited the league in the long run, it undermined Nometra authority for many years.
Colonial Expansion
The High Kingdom then shifted their focus from the Osmax to naval supremacy by creating small military crafts that could maneuver and larger vessels for longer journeys. This helped them establish several trade colonies along the coast of Valmor. One trade city in particular grew exponentially and unexpectedly, called Vedinum, which Governor Chariton Molius headed. Governor Molius paved the way for the complete establishment of the Nometra Minora colony in Valmor. These trade colonies played a pivotal role in Nometra regaining its political and economical strength, but it wasn't enough for the oncoming slaughter.
Loelius II
Malius I stregenthed the Kingdom and fought valiantly in the Osmax-Nomtra War, but this didn't save him from public opinion. The Assembly believed in Malius I's ability to lead, but the people thought otherwise. In 222, three years after the war, Malius was killed by a mob of protesters outside his palace. Thus, his brother, Loelius II took the throne. Loelius II never expected to take the throne, but nonetheless he gave his full effort and dedication. Sending more colonists to Nometra Minora, he was dedicated to its prosperous nature. In addition to this, Loelius II was the first leader to completely fund the Nometra Navy, giving it much more attention than the troops. So much so, everyone near the port in Nometra had at least a small fishing boat or canoe.
Nometra Minora
Nometra Minora started small, but later exploded from the King's support. It would soon become a cultural hotspot mixing various cultures and religions including Nometrians, Espians, and Binus. At first, Nometra attempted to unify Nometra Minora in one religious belief, but faced heavy resistance which forced them to stop. As time went on, Osmanian would see a sharp decline in Nometra Minora in favor of Nikkaism. Nometra Minora was especially prime in lumber and other natural resources.
Fall of Nometra
Loelius II had finally repaired the damage to the Kingdom, allowing it to prosper. But, this made it a target. In 230 First Era, the Osmax attacked with full force. The Nometra Army collasped from the sudden attack and swift calavary encirclements. Armored with thousands of shields, the Nometrians didn't have a chance as the Osmax completely pillaged their territory. Similar to the Annihilation At Stonecrest in the Wall Of Spears, the Osmax brutally slaughtered both man, woman, and child. After quick messengers gave their reports of the attacks, Loelius II gave the only order he could: to fight with everything they had. Assembling everything he could muster, Loelius II marched to the Osmax Army. Meeting outside of small unnamed village, they fought in the Battle Of Loelius. Unable to win against such a large force, Loelius II stabbed the Sword Of Nometra straight into the ground. Instantly, the Nometrians stopped fighting and pulled back behind their King. Silus II Of The Osmax revealed himself out of his Calvary Escort, asking Loelius what he had done. Loelius responded: "You have won. Leave my people, and everything we have will be yours." Silus II thought about this, saying in response: "Everything?" Loelius agreed, and the Nometrians fled back to Nometra. Upon arriving, Loelius II found that Silus had not lived to his word. The city was being slaughtered by the Osmax as the Nometrians were defenseless. Ordering a full retreat, and with nowhere else left to head, every boat they could muster was filled with everyone they could bring, and the Nometrians retreated across the Sea Of Hifama off the Peninsula Of Sight. Loelius swore himself and all of his descendants to defeat the Osmax and reclaim their homeland.
Migration to Nometra Minora
With thousands retreating across the sea, low on food, firewood, and many wounded, the Colony went from its prosperous trade status to an overfilling cramped ghetto. Due to the nature of the sudden migration from Nometra to Nometra Minora and the decentralized management of the colony, Loelius II began in a rough spot. With little power, and no supplies, it was only a matter of time before the population revolted. Feeling that he had failed his country, Loelius II decided to call for a vote: to dismantle the Nometra Assembly Of Clans. The representatives voted, and it was deemed that the Assembly was to stay. Ashamed, and afraid to be killed in his sleep by his own citizens, Loelius II called out to his warriors: "I am going to try and kill Silus II. Anyone who wishes to join me is welcome." Loelius II kept his word and disappeared on a small boat later that evening. He and his men were never seen again. With no King, the Assembly convened for perhaps the most important vote ever: who would be King? Out of this vote, the decentralized Monarchy transformed into an Oligarchy with 4 main factions: The Loyalist-Militarist, The Merchants-City, The Independents, and Unaligned. This migration effectively ended the High Kingdom of Nometra and started the Nometran Republic, also referred to sometimes as Nominora.
Government
Initially, the Nometran government only consisted of the High King, which is the monarch of the High Kingdom and the Assembly of Clans. Later, the positions of First Captain Of Nometra and Clans Speaker were created to help organize the military and interpret the law respectively.
High King
The title of the High King was an elective title chosen from and by the Assembly of Clans. They would act as the head of state within the assembly's boundaries in peaceful times and an autocratic ruler during war times. The High King is part of the Assembly of Clans and had special powers, including veto rights and being the tiebreaker.

Military
Early Nometran military was very decentralized; with each clan having its own army that only listened to t its clan's orders. Clan armies saw the High King's orders as a suggestion or guidance compared to their chief's orders. The High King's direct army, also known as the Royal Army, was called the Azure Guards as they were the only soldiers allowed to wear the Azure Focale or cloak to signify that they came from the royal army. Equipment quality varied wildly, even within the royal army. Shields were few and far between and calvary was only an officer luxury. Each soldier was expected had to maintain their own equipment and buy any new equipment they wanted.
The Nometran military was well known at the time for their "seventh circle" formation, a simple formation to learn yet effective enough. The seventh circle formation requires seven people in an ellipse formation, with two of the seven people being on horseback or wielding a long spear; these two people are called the Tasciac, being behind the other five soldiers and supporting them. The seventh circle formation allows for more effective and efficient fighting as inexperienced soldiers can be set on front with a mindset of survival while the more veteran Tasciacs support the other five and look for opportunities to attack the enemies. However, the fighting with the Kingdom Of Osmax revealed that the seventh circle formation crumbles once the Tasciacs are defeated. And with very few calarvy, this formation was very hard to properly execute.
Reformation
After their defeat by Osmax, the Nometran military reformed and adapted formations and tactics similar to Osmax. There was a semblance of unified training and equipment quality across Nometra. Each captain and clan chief became responsible for supplying, maintaining and paying the salary of the army they commanded. The High King also passed a law to make clans provide a portion of their soldiers for a season every summer and winter to the Royal Army, which helped achieve two objectives; to train the clan armies and enlarge the Royal Army. However, the army crumbled after being decimated by counterattacks from the Osmax with Calvary. The few too numbered horses in Nometra couldn't compete with the well trained and massive numbered Osmax Calvary Formations.
Legal system
The legal system can be divided into three parts in Nometra; local, interclan and royal. In local situations, a clan chief or a city governor presides or delegates judgment duties and decides punishment based on local and royal laws. Interclan is used when a minor problem or disagreement between clans or cities arises that does not require royal intervention or when the clans think that the High King is ruling in bad faith, the Clan assembly would act as a judge and preside over the trial. Royal judgment is reserved when neither local nor interclan judgements are fit such as treason or corruption charges.
Trade cities
Nometran trade cities were cities that were either created with colonization or conquered with the main aim of establishing trade routes or having easier access to resources. Trade cities are governed by a Prefect which was appointed by the High King and assisted by a vice-Prefect who was elected from among the city's denizens. Each trade city has their own army and navy that they maintain.
There were a total of 18 Nometran trade cities, 11 being considered as "large trade cities" and were the anchor of the economic power for the league, while the other 7 trade cities held more of a strategic role rather than an economic role. After the fall of Nometra 6 of the trade cities joined Nometra Minora while the rest either became independent or were conquered by other powers.
Demographics
The majority of the Nometra were Midlanders, a name given to them when by southern and northern people they interacted with before the establishment of Nometra. With the creation of Nometra Midlanders and Nometrians became synonymous with each other. Religiously, most of the Nometrians were Osmanian, however many are unsure how or when the region became Osmanian. Some suggest that Osami was their source of conversion while others suggest Osmax.

Trivia
Early on Nometrians perceived the number 11 as an unlucky number since whenever the Nometran army had an army close to 11,000 they would lose decisively. However, later it was considered a lucky number thanks to the number of large Nometran trade cities being 11 that brought much wealth to Nometra and the league.
Ferrets were revered in Nometra and some even suggest that the ferrets were worshipped for ages before converting to Osmanian.
