The Kingdom of Gwessly was formed in the year 112 under Gwessly I after tribal centralization became too ineffficent. A cruel leader, Gwessly I ruled with an iron fist, making sure all under him obeyed his demands. For the next 16 years under the control of Gwessly, the nation thrived doubling in population and expanding in territory greatly across the region Valmor. Insufficent records due to the extreme amount of control can all but show his reign. Sadly, in 128, Gwessly died after being stabbed by an angry mob of peasants which in turn sparked a civil war. Angry from being oppressed and taxed heavily, the peasants found the King traveling through the forests one evening and ended his life swiftly.

Civil War of 128

The Civil War of 128 caused by the king's death split the country in two. Angry peasants fought against the kingdom, rising in dangerous numbers by the months. On December 14th of 128, the fateful 1st Battle of Gwen killed thousands. As waves of peasants stormed the castle where Gwessly II lived after his army had unknowingly been decimated, rows of angry mob men unleashed firing that rained onto the Greater Peasantry of Gwessly. As the civil war raged, with Gwessly II sieged down in his palace, he fled the kingdom to seek safety.

After a deadly year of war in the surprisingly extroverted kingdom, the civil war finally came to an end on February 16th 129, after Gwessly II made peace with the leader of the rebellion, Anthony Leon. Power was handed down to Anthony Leon, who in turn changed his name to Anthony I.
