The city of Tal was first established in 113 First Era after Langley I decided to stay there with his army for two years. The city was built upon the left over tents and huts from the Lani Army and soon was a teeming hunting town. The town would grow into a regional power of hunting and have a large forestry industry.

History

During Langley I campaigns across Susland, the King decided to stay in a small valley that was host to the Talo Tribe. After staying here for nearly two years, the camp had become so intertwined that once the Lani Army departed many people would stay and live here. The small village would grow into a bustling town of hunting and a vast timber industry.

Geography

Located inland from Marmp, Tal would grow based off its geopolitical location with people traveling to the city when traveling to Lanis and other far off parts of the Kingdom. The city is located in a dense forest that would allow easy hunting and the foundation ford forestry. With quickly regrowing trees, Tal would become a major exporter of lumber to other cities in the First Era. With small hills and easy moving soil, the area was great for people looking to move there.

Economy

With good hunting and fast growing trees, Tal would become a regional supplier of food and lumber. The economy would be based completely off of these two factors given the poor mining and soil of the region. The timber industry would become the best in the Kingdom Of Langley, however, and the city was a prime destination for work and stability for those looking for a calm life.

Culture

Built from a warrior culture of the Lani Army, Talren represent hard working indivudals that value honor and integrity above all else. Those who live in Tal like to live in peace but if war begins they are more than glad to fight for their country. Tal is almost entirely full of Heltas people that speak Alarian and Semther.

Government

Initially, the King: Langley I, managed the city but with the Kingdom facing almost total collapse Langley II proclaimed the Organizational Act Of 152 which reorganized the city underneath a Knocker. This Knocker, officially apart of the Langley Government, would rule over the city. The Tal Knocker in particular remains adamant about keeping the city safe and out of the politics from Marmp.

Population

Growing from a small city that was left from the remnants of the Lani Army, the geopolitical location of Tal and suitable area to live would see the city grow throughout the entire First Era. The population would fluctuate at times with warfare but overall the city would propser.

Notable People

Harlin Talo, the first Knocker of Tal in 152.
