Militant General

(Redirected from Major General)

The first rank to command multiple legions, Militant Generals were a pinnacle of an officers career. However, this was usually the first rank that many nobles would be assigned, and thus, Militant Generals were looked down upon and placed higher than Faxillens in respect. Militant Generals wore a wrapped blue cloak to show the symbol of their authority and prestige. Although they typically commanded upwards of five legions; most militants commanded less. Militant Generals were commanders for campaigns that required more than one legion but not a fully fledged war.

Militant Generals in the Kingdom Of Osmax were rare and far too few. Many Militant Generals served in campaigns and on the staff of the General Of Osmax. The position was rarely used in engagements that were too big for one legion but too small for an army. This constituted rebellions usually. Militant Generals in the Kingdom were heavily frowned upon unless their experience was proven, as a Militant General was often nobility or somebody trying to leverage their way into political affairs.
