History Of Osmax Economy

From The Lands Of Liberos Project

Early Kingdom

1st Century

Vested from the few farmers and sparsely populated hunters and gatherers, the Kingdom Of Osmax did not really have an economy for the 1st Century. With very small and few cities, the biggest industries were blacksmiths and the mining operations that would follow. With everything handcrafted, trade in this era was usually associated with bartering and did not use the Crenali often. The taxes imposed by the government were the only notable thing used with the Crenali. It wasn't until the later 1st Century when trade across the seas began to open up that the Economy started to take shape.

2nd Century

As trade began to take shape across the seas, so did the local economy. More and more businesses outside of everyday goods began to rise up, including but not limited to: blacksmiths, mines, carpentry shops, and tool shops. Salt mines were among the many thriving businesses from their valuable product that would preserve food. In the quickly developing cities that needed an extremely big surplus of food to supply, the salt was essential to this.
